Pallet Racking

Selective Pallet Racking is the simplest and most cost effective means to create palletized storage where each individual pallet can be accounted for and retrieved.

The most common arrangement of this system is in rows of back-to-back runs, making maximum use of the height in your facility.  The depth of the pallet racking is available in several different depths, based on the depth of the pallets or material being stored. It provides a high level of flexibility to your storage plan as your needs grow in the future.

Pallet Racking Components:

1. Frames

Standard sizes are available in 24" to 72" depths and up to 32' high. Special sizes are available and Waymarc will design and manufacture to suit any customer requirement. Waymarc provides frames in two styles, welded and bolted. Welded frames are the most common in North America, they are painted using a powder coat process and are available in a range of steel thicknesses. Bolted frames are the most flexible frame option. They can be shipped assembled or knocked down. Individual damaged components can be field replaced without having to replace the entire frame.

2. Pallet Racking Guards

Coming in a wide variety of duties and sizes Waymarc has a full line of racking guards for any warehouse. Click here for more information.

3. Beams

Available in roll formed box, welded step and roll formed step styles. Standard beam capacities range from 1,000 lbs. to 12,000 lbs. per pair and are available in lengths ranging from 24" to 192" Box beams are typically used to store conventional pallets and work best using accessories such as safety bars or wire mesh decks. Step beams allow for drop in decks, shelves and many additional accessories designed for product stacking and hand pick applications.

4. Drop-In Decks & Mesh Decks

Drop-in decks and mesh decks provide a continuous surface on pallet rack beam levels. These are a safety feature designed to stop injuries due to falling product from a pallet. It can also be used as a shelf for small packages or individual items.

Pallet Flow & Drive-in

See Why Businesses Just Like Yours Trust Waymarc
To Provide & Install PALLET FLOW & DRIVE-IN RACKING SYSTEMS:

Waymarc Supplied Pallet Flow & drive-in Racking systems:

Drive-in/ thru

Drive-in systems support the pallets only on the rails (no beams), and allows the forklift to drive-in between the frames. The major advantage of drive-in system is they can store a large number of pallets in a small space. Drive-in is considered as FILO (First in, last out) system. Drive-thru system can be accessed by either ends and considered as FIFO (first in, first out) system.

Pushback

Pushback systems have carriers on rollers at pallet position. The forklift puts the first pallet in place, and then uses the second pallet to push the first pallet back on the rails. Pushback system can store a large number of pallets in a small space and are considered as FILO (first in, last out) system.

Pallet Flow

Pallet flow systems use rollers and brakes to move pallets from one side (loading) of a rack to another (unloading). Pallet flow is considered as FIFO (first in, first out) system, perfect for perishables.
